American Vocal Jazz Ambassador, Harvey Thompson was born in Detroit, Michigan. After years of appearances at jazz clubs, and performances at Japanese concert halls and swank Turkish night spots to the best venues in Europe, the Detroit native, now Japan-based and world-traveling Thompson can rightfully be called a versatile master of jazz vocals. With his silky smooth voice, comfortable stage presence, and wide repertoire reflecting influences ranging from the late great Johnny Hartman, Joe Williams, Mel Torme and the incomparable “Nat King Cole”, Harvey Thompson can be considered ・The Keeper of The Flame of male jazz vocals.
