Hyman was best known for her music during the late 1970s through the early 1990s. She also performed on Broadway in the musical based on the music of Duke Ellington, ‘Sophisticated Ladies.’ The musical earned her a Theatre World Award and a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical. The loss of this beautiful diva’s talent has been immeasurable, but now we have the chance to re-live some amazing moments with the sound of her music performed by the powerhouse, Maurissa Ross and directed by the incomparable Dave McMurray.
