The Rouge Dectet is a 10-piece band taking inspiration from the Miles Davis Nonet album "Birth of the Cool" performing selections of that album alongside adaptations and compositions inspired by Ellington to Evans, Monk to Mulligan and everything in between. Operating like a halfway point between the big band and a combo, the Rouge Dectet takes the best of both worlds - orchestration like a big band, soloistic freedom like a combo.
