Widely published poet, Suzanne Scarfone, English Romantic Poetry and Virginia Woolf scholar, is a a creative writing professor and curriculum advisor with the Afghan Women's Writing Project; a hospital healing arts poetry consultant; and a university lecturer. She has produced two music and poetry compact discs, The Poetry Harmonium and Arts at an Exhibition and has received two poetry awards from the Wayne County Council for Arts, History, and Humanities. She has most recently co-authored Lessons from Afghanistan: A Curriculum for Exploring Themes of Love and Forgiveness, a collaborative project of the Afghan Women’s Writing Project and the Fetzer Institute. Empathy for the vulnerable child, the aged sick, the weary wanderer, and the soul on the brink of change underlies all of her poetry.
Jake Bass well known keyboardist, collaborator with DPAN Sean Forbes and owner of Bassment Studios. Jake has released three CD's: One, 1989 and his newest is the excellent My City: Detroit. This is a rare area appearance of a wonderful young talent from The 54 Sound stable.
Poet & Writer from Los Angeles, California studying Creative Writing at Wayne State. He is the Co-Editor of The Wayne Literary Review and The President of The Wayne Writers Forum at Wayne State University. He is also a Teaching Assistant in the Dept of English.
Mary Stebbins Taitt is a well known, widely published Metro Detroit Poets who hails from Syracuse, NY. She is an acclaimed artist, photographer and painter.
